Why owners choose the Phenom 100

The Phenom 100 is for owners whose trips run longer: Sun Valley, Napa, the Rockies, the California coast. From Seattle, Napa is about an hour and forty minutes, and Palm Springs about two and a half hours.

Our pilots fly every program trip, and our maintenance team, with Embraer factory training on the type, oversees its upkeep.

The Phenom 100 in brief

The Phenom 100 is the smallest jet in Embraer's Phenom family, alongside the larger Phenom 300. It first flew in 2007, and its cabin was designed with BMW Group DesignworksUSA: four club seats, large windows and room to work, with a fifth passenger seat up front beside our pilot. On legs longer than about an hour and a half with four or more aboard, weight can limit fuel and baggage, so we confirm the load for every trip.

How scheduling works

  • A day counts when you fly, and your hours are the second limit.
  • Each flying day counts as at least 2.5 hours; each flight counts its time plus 0.2 hours for taxi.
  • Trips are scheduled first come, first served, with no fixed notice period.
  • Request trips for any day of the week, to any airport suitable for the aircraft.
  • Inside the service area, positioning the aircraft to your departure airport is not billed and does not use your hours.
  • Ten peak days a year, at Thanksgiving and Christmas. No blackout days and no peak surcharge.
  • Cancel more than 72 hours before departure at no charge.

About Phenom 100 shares.

How many people can fly in the Phenom 100?

Up to five passengers: four in the cabin and one in the right-hand cockpit seat, because we fly the Phenom 100 with a single pilot. If you would rather have two pilots up front, ask when you book and we will crew the trip with two; the cabin then carries four. On the longest legs the number depends on fuel, weather and baggage, so we confirm the load for every trip before it is scheduled.

Who flies the Phenom 100?

Our professional pilots, single-pilot as standard or with two pilots on request, with initial and recurrent training included in the monthly management fee.

Can I use the SR22 for a short hop?

You can ask. Owners can request the other aircraft type in the program. It depends on availability, and hours count at an exchange rate set out in the program agreement.

What does a share cost?

It depends on the share size and whether you buy or lease. Our ownership team will take you through the buy-in or lease payment, the monthly management fee, the hourly rate and typical trip costs for the way you fly, before anything is signed.

Do I get a particular aircraft?

No. You buy or lease a share of an aircraft in the program, and we assign the aircraft for each trip. That is what keeps the schedule working for every owner.

Can I fly it myself?

Yes, if you hold the certificates, ratings, currency and medical we require of our own pilots, follow our rest and flight-time rules, and give us 24 hours' notice. Your insurance has to allow it too. Otherwise our pilots fly every trip.

What is operational control?

Fractional flying is governed by FAA Part 91 Subpart K. Under it, you share operational control of the flights you direct with the program manager, Citizen Air Management, LLC. We brief you on what that involves before your first trip, and you sign an acknowledgment.

How long is the term, and what happens at the end?

Terms run three to five years. At the end, owners can renew or have us market the share for sale and receive their portion of the net proceeds, less a remarketing fee. Lessees can renew or let the lease end.
