Why Citizen Air

A small team where your work is the flight.

There are twenty-two of us. Everyone here can see how their part, from the fuel order to the logbook entry to the passenger at the desk, gets an aircraft safely into the air.

Real responsibility

A small company means you are trusted with real work early, and you see the result of it the same day.

People who have done it

You learn from a Navy test pilot, a 20,000-hour former Air Force instructor pilot, a Coast Guard maintenance chief and technicians with decades on the hangar floor.

A growing fleet

Cessnas and Cirrus to the Tecnam P2012 Traveller and the Phenom 100 jet, with more aircraft and more flying on the way.

The Peninsula

Olympic National Park at the edge of town, the Strait out the window and a ten-minute commute. People move here for this.

Where you would work

Five teams, one operation.

Pilots and instructors

Charter, flightseeing and SoundPass flying across the Northwest under our Part 135 certificate, fractional flying under Part 91K, and flight instruction for the next generation of pilots.

We look for: sound judgment, a clean record and a willingness to say no to a flight that should not go.

Maintenance

A&P technicians

Inspections, repairs and engine work on our own fleet and customer aircraft, in our own hangars, with factory training on Cirrus, the Phenom 100 and Tecnam.

We look for: an A&P certificate or a clear path to one, and the habit of finishing a job completely.

Line technicians and the front desk

Fueling, marshaling, towing and the welcome at the desk for crews and passengers. A common first job in aviation and a good one.

We look for: attention to detail, a calm way with people, and a valid driver's license.

Operations

Scheduling and dispatch

Building the flight schedule, matching aircraft and crews, and keeping the operation compliant under our certificate.

We look for: organization under pressure and comfort with regulations and detail.

Administration

The business side

Accounting, insurance, benefits, contracts and customer service: the work that keeps an air carrier in good standing.

We look for: accuracy, discretion and people who like making things run smoothly.
