Fly-and-stay trips pair a Citizen Air flight into Port Angeles with a room at a partner hotel in town, and often a day on the mountain, on the water or at Field Hall. We book the flight, the hotel holds the room under our code, and the stay starts the moment you land.

  • Flight and room reserved together
  • Two hotels in town
  • Seattle in 30 to 45 minutes
  • Best outside summer

How it works

Three steps, two confirmations.

We fly you in; the hotel and the guides do what they do best. You get our confirmation for the flight and the hotel's for the room, and if the weather moves your flight, we call the hotel before you have to.

  1. Choose a trip

A winter weekend on Hurricane Ridge, a performance at Field Hall, a guided day outdoors, or a plain two nights in town. Each trip below is a starting point; tell us what you want to change.

  2. Pick your dates and your flight

From Seattle, a seat on a SoundPass flight from Boeing Field or a private charter. From anywhere else, a charter from the airport nearest you. We hold the room while you decide.

  3. Land and start

Our shuttle or the hotel's meets you at the aircraft. Bags to the room in twenty minutes, and the day you booked begins.

What you get

The flight, the room, the day. Planned together.

We book and charge the flight. The hotel holds your room under our booking code, confirms it to you directly and charges you for it at its own rate and terms. If a flight changes, we call the hotel for you.

  • Flight. Citizen Air, on our own aircraft with our own crews.
  • Room. Olympic Lodge by Ayres or Red Lion Hotel Port Angeles Harbor, two nights or more, booked and paid with the hotel.
  • The day. Optional: a guided outing or a performance, booked with the partner, or a scenic flight with us.
  • Ground. Our shuttle or courtesy car, or the hotel's, between the airport and the room.

The trips

Built for the seasons the Peninsula is best.

Spring and fall carry half of Olympic National Park's visits, and the winter ridge is a different place from the summer one. These trips are set for the months when the light is low, the trails are quiet and the hotels have rooms.

A winter weekend on Hurricane Ridge

Hurricane Ridge Road opens Friday through Sunday in winter. Fly in Friday morning and you have the whole weekend on the mountain; a driver from Seattle does not.

  • Snowshoe or ski on the ridge
  • Shuttle to the road when it runs

Where you stay

Two hotels in town. Both know our passengers.

Both hotels are inside the city, both already host our charter and scenic-flight guests, and we are setting up fly-and-stay rooms with both. Prefer a bed and breakfast? Ask; we work with two east of town.

The adventure starts on the ramp, not after the drive

Thirty to forty-five minutes from Seattle. No ferry line.

The drive from Seattle to Port Angeles is half a day and a ferry each way. From Boeing Field it is a short flight over the Sound, the Hood Canal Bridge and the foothills, with the Olympics filling the windscreen.

A seat on SoundPass

Shared-seat flights from Boeing Field to Port Angeles, sold by the seat. Membership from $25 a month.

A private charter

Your party, your schedule, from the airport nearest you. Portland, Spokane, Bend, Vancouver and beyond.

A scenic flight

Add a 45 to 90 minute loop over the coast, the Strait or Mount Olympus to any stay.

Fairchild is ten minutes from downtown. However you want to cover it, we arrange it when you book, and our own team meets every flight.

Our shuttle or courtesy car

Complimentary when available. Tell us when you book and it is waiting at the aircraft.

The hotel's shuttle

Olympic Lodge collects guests at the airport and runs within five miles of the hotel.

A rental car

Avis and Budget at the affiliated counter inside the terminal. We reserve it with your flight.

A bicycle

We are setting up bicycles for arriving passengers at Fairchild, with the Discovery Trail a short ride away. Ask about availability.

Groups and events

Offer the flight with the room.

Block seats

For hotels, Field Hall and event organizers

A conference, a wedding, a festival weekend, a company retreat. We hold blocks of seats on our flights so you can offer the way here alongside the room or the ticket. Each guest books and pays for the seat with us.

Blocks are held without charge until an agreed release date. Tell us the dates and the number of guests, and we will come back with a plan.

Questions

What travelers ask us.

What is included?
From us: the flight, and a scenic flight if you add one. From the hotel: the room, which the hotel charges you for directly. A guided day, tickets, meals and ferry passage are booked and paid with the partner at the partner's price. We send you the whole plan before you commit.
How do I book?
Choose a trip above or describe your own and send us your dates and party. We quote the flight and ask the hotel to hold a room under our code. You confirm the flight with us, and the hotel confirms and charges the room with you directly, so you have their reservation as well as ours.
What if weather moves my flight?
We fly in most weather the Peninsula produces, but not all of it. If a flight moves, we call the hotel and move the room with it, and if the trip cannot be flown, the flight is refunded and the room is released under the hotel's policy. We tell you as early as the forecast allows.
Can I change my dates?
Yes, subject to seats and rooms. Flights follow our charter or SoundPass terms; rooms follow the hotel's. Change with us and we handle both calls.
Can I bring skis, a bike or a dog?
Skis, snowshoes and bikes are carried on request; tell us when you book so the right aircraft is assigned. Pets fly with us on charter flights. Check the hotel's pet policy before you book the room.
Is Hurricane Ridge open?
Hurricane Ridge Road opens daily in summer and, snow permitting, Friday through Sunday in winter. The National Park Service posts the status each morning. We watch it, and a winter trip is timed to arrive Friday so you have the full open window.
Do you fly from airports other than Boeing Field?
Yes. Charter flights start from the airport nearest you, anywhere in the region and beyond. SoundPass shared-seat flights serve airports within 75 nautical miles of Port Angeles, Boeing Field included.
Can I book the room somewhere else?
Of course. Book the flight alone and stay wherever you like. Fly-and-stay is for people who would rather plan it all in one conversation and be met at the aircraft.
