Scheduled inspections, repairs and engine work by Citizen Air's own A&P and IA technicians, in our own hangars. The same team that keeps our Part 135 fleet flying looks after yours.
What we do
You do not need to be in one of our programs. Any owner can bring an aircraft to us, and most of the work below is done in our own hangars without the aircraft leaving the field.
Annual, 100-hour and manufacturer interval inspections, signed off in-house by our Inspection Authorization holders.
Airworthiness Directive and Service Bulletin research, compliance and the records to show it.
Oil changes, tires, brakes, batteries, plugs and the items that keep an airplane reliable between inspections.
Squawks run down and fixed, from an intermittent radio to a rough magneto, with a clear write-up of what we found.
Engine removal, overhaul coordination, reinstallation and the break-in that follows. The SR22 above is mid engine change.
Coordination of avionics, systems and modification work, including the shops we partner with when a job needs specialist equipment.
Parts sourced and tracked so the aircraft is not waiting on the shelf, with factory channels for the types we are trained on.
Inspection intervals, recurring airworthiness items and component times scheduled and monitored, so nothing is left to memory.
Considering a purchase? Pre-purchase inspections are part of our Consulting and Advisory service: our technicians do them on the types they are trained on, and on other types we arrange a qualified shop and oversee the inspection there. Consulting and Advisory.

Tecnam Authorized Service Center
Citizen Air is a Tecnam Authorized Service Center, and our technicians have completed Tecnam's factory maintenance training. Our own P2012 Travellers are part of our fleet, so the type that comes into our hangar is one we operate ourselves.
The team
The credentials that matter in this work are held by individual technicians, not by a building. Ours hold the FAA mechanic certificate and the Inspection Authorization that lets annual and major inspections be signed here, without sending the aircraft anywhere.
The FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate, required to perform and approve maintenance.
Held by two of our team, so annuals and major repairs are inspected and signed in-house.
Across the maintenance team, with our most senior technicians at 30 to 40 years each.
Cirrus, Embraer Phenom 100 and Tecnam factory maintenance training.

Director of Maintenance
A&P
Nineteen years as a US Coast Guard aviation maintenance technician, including running the maintenance department at Air Station Port Angeles and teaching at the Coast Guard's technical training center. Embry-Riddle graduate.
Maintenance Manager
A&P · IA
An A&P since 1990 who apprenticed at this airport, and one of our two Inspection Authorization holders. He signs the annuals and major inspections, and he is the Director of Maintenance on our Part 135 certificate.
Aircraft Technician
A&P
Military aviation background. Works the fleet alongside Ryan and John in the hangar.
Part 91 or Part 135
Owner flown
Part 91
Your aircraft is maintained to the manufacturer's program and the FAA requirements for its type. You hold responsibility for its airworthiness; we do the work and the inspections, and we document them so your records are always ready for a buyer or an inspector.
On our certificate, or managed by us
Part 135
Aircraft on our air carrier certificate are maintained under the approved inspection program tied to it, with the added intervals, tracking and recordkeeping that commercial flying requires. An owner whose aircraft we manage gets that same discipline.
Whichever applies to you, the people, the hangar and the standard of work are the same. What changes is the program the aircraft is maintained under and the records that go with it.
Aircraft we know
We maintain our own fleet of Cessna, Cirrus, Tecnam and Embraer aircraft, and we take in the same types and others like them. If your aircraft is something we do not work on, we will tell you, and usually point you to someone who does.

Our maintenance hangar, our FBO and our fuel farm are on the same ramp. A transient pilot with a problem can walk from the aircraft to a technician, and a based owner can drop the airplane off on the way to work.
Tell the FBO desk in the terminal what is wrong, or call the number to the right. We will look at the aircraft, tell you what we think, and give you a straight answer on whether it is a quick fix, a part on order, or a ferry permit.
8 am to 5 pm, seven days a week. Email and phone messages are monitored after hours for urgent needs.
How it works
Type, registration, where it is based, total time and what you need. We reply within two hours during the day.
We go through the logbooks and the work with you and give you a written estimate before anything is opened up.
You hear from us when we find something, not after we have fixed it. No surprises on the invoice.
Logbook entries, a summary of what was done and what to watch, and the aircraft ready on the ramp or in the hangar.
Plus parts, and sales tax where applicable. Estimates are in writing before work starts.
Owners in our programs
Your share of a Cirrus SR22 or Phenom 100 is maintained by this team under the program's approved schedule. It is one of the things the monthly fee pays for.
Fractional ownership →Place your aircraft on our certificate or keep it Part 91 and let us manage it. Either way, the inspections, the tracking and the records are handled here.
Aircraft management →The 172s our students learn in and our pilots rent are maintained in the same hangar by the same people, which is why we say so on those pages.
